WE ARE DIOPMA
The Center for Design and Optimization of Processes and Materials, DIOPMA, is a scientific research group of the University of Barcelona, formed in the Department of Materials Science and Physical Chemistry. Recognized as a consolidated group by the Generalitat de Catalunya (2021SGR708), DIOPMA also holds the TECNIO accreditation, awarded by ACCIÓ for its intensive technology transfer to the business sector.
OUR TEAM HAS DIVERSIFIED INTO MULTIPLE AREAS
DIOPMA was originally established as a group specializing in extractive metallurgy and now leads various areas of expertise such as materials for thermal storage, construction, environmental science and 3D printing.
CURRENTLY HEADED BY PROFESSOR ANA INÉS FERNÁNDEZ
Since 2019, Dr. Fernández leads the DIOPMA team, which includes three subgroups specialized in different areas of materials science and technology.
DIOPMA NETWORKING
DIOPMA is part of key national and international networks, including XRE4S, the CSIC-University Network for Fuel Cells and Advanced Batteries, SOCIEMAT, the Spanish Network for Thermal Energy Storage, redTES, RIbERA, CIRES, and INPATH-TES.
