Biography Summary

His research focuses on the development of environmentally friendly construction materials, with particular emphasis on creating sustainable binders through the recycling and valorisation of industrial by‑products. His work explores alternative cementitious systems, the behaviour of concrete under expansion phenomena, and the design of alkali‑activated binders obtained from the mechanochemical activation of natural clays. Through this approach, he aims to contribute to the development of construction materials with a lower environmental impact and improved performance.
Since 2022, he has been working as a Research Assistant in the DIOPMA group at the University of Barcelona, where he has taken part in several projects involving the development of concretes with different admixtures, including magnesium oxide and CSP. His research has also included the study of expansion mechanisms in concrete and the formulation of new alkali‑activated cements produced through advanced mechanochemical processes.
He completed his Master’s degree in Applied Materials Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (2021–2022), during which he carried out his master’s thesis on the preparation of MXene‑based catalysts via hydrothermal synthesis. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the same university (2016–2021), which provided him with a strong foundation in chemical sciences that he now applies to the study and development of sustainable construction materials.
