Biography Summary

I am associate profesor at Universitat de Barcelona since 2019 with background in materials chemistry I obtained the chemistry degree in 2008 and the Advanced Materials Chemistry Master in 2010. PhD in Energy Engineering by Universitat de Lleida in 2013 focused on the development of Thermal Energy Storage Materials to improve the energy efficiency in systems as buildings, CPS plants, etc. I have done 3 post-docs at Universitat de Lleida (European Project 2013-14), Universitat de Barcelona (Juan de la Cierva2015-2016), and TECNIOSPRING Marie Curie Fellowship (University of Birmingham 2017-2018).

I have worked with materials to store all types of heat (sensible heat, latent heat, and thermochemical heat). Recently, I am also focused on research contributions for sustainable development based on the performance of LCA and circularity studies about materials and systems as well as waste heat recovery. In addition, I have performed several studies about the valorisation of waste and by products to be sources of TES performance. I have participated and led International and National research projects main focused on the previous mentioned research fields.I was International Energy Agency Spanish delegate between 2015-2020. I have supervised 2 PhD students and currently 4 PhD students are under my supervision.

Currently, my main mission is the formation of new researchers to contribute for the climate change mitigation through the sustainable development and eco engineering design.
