Publication Highlights about alkali-activated binders
- CSP and PAVAL are generated during the glass and aluminium recycling processes.
- Alkali-activated binders using CSP and PAVAL as sole precursors was assessed.
- AABs formulations were prepared using only NaOH as alkaline activator solutions.
- The combination of both silica and alumina sources enabled high-porosity AABs.
- Environmental characterisation demonstrated the activation of some metalloids.
