Dr. Joan Formosa is Doctor in Materials Science from the UB since 2012 and his research field relays in studies regarding the Magnesium Phosphates cements, and mortars by using different by-products and/or wastes as magnesium source; Waste Incineration, Municipal Solid Waste, Carbonation, and ceramic and building materials characterization. He has supervised 1 finished PhDs and is supervising 3 more now today. He has participated in more than 50 research projects in technology transfer, possesses 3 patent and published more than 52 peer-reviewed papers.
