Novel sampling procedure and statistical analysis for the thermal characterization of ionic nanofluids

Publication Highlights

  1. This study demonstrates the relevance of sampling for the evaluation of nanofluids and propose a new measurement methodology.
  2. An exhaustive analysis of the Cp results shows a high dispersion of the values: variation from 80% to -20%.
  3. The results show the difficulty to reproduce thermophysical values of nanofluids.
  4. Nanoparticles have less effect on melting enthalpy and temperature than on Cp.
  5. Nanofluids complete the melting at lower temperatures than pure NaNO3.
