Post-doctoral researcher
Energy storage materials (TES)
I am researcher and I wish to contribute more directly to answer society’s needs while minimizing the impact that those solutions might have on the environment.
I obtained the Chemistry degree from the Universitat of Barcelona in 2013 and the degree in Materials Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2014. After that, I pursued a master’s degree in Materials Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2015) to further deepen my understanding in Materials Science. In 2016, I got the presidential grant from Tampere University, in Finland, to pursue the doctoral studies at the IMPACT group under the supervision of Professor Mikko Hokka. My work at Tampere University focused on the thermo-mechanical characterization of austenitic stainless steel at high strain rates to determine the effect of adiabatic heating and strain rate on the martensitic phase transformation. During my studies in Finland I had the opportunity to participate in three international conferences and to stay at the Ohio State University, in USA, as a visiting researcher. My doctoral studies concluded in 2020, when I obtained the doctoral degree in Science and Technology. I joined DIOPMA in the spring of 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher with the grant Margarita Salas.
