Tenure Track Lecturer
Researcher in Additive Manufacturing, DIW and Robocasting. 3D Printing.
I am a Postdoc Reseracher and part-time assistant-lecturer at the Department of Material Science and Physical Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (UB). I have a close relationship with UB because I first obtained a BA in Chemistry there (2007) and afterwards a second BA in Materials Engineering (2015), a degree performed between UB and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). During that period, I completed two Master, the first one a Master Experimental en Química (2010) and a second one a Master’s degree in Advanced Chemistry within Materials Science (2012) after witch I started my PhD studies at the UB, whose main topic was “Desarrollo, obtención y optimización de sustratos metálicos de base cobre texturados biaxialmente para aplicaciones de alto valor tecnológico”. I successfully finished my PhD in 2016 with the maximum score: Cum Laude. As a result of my PhD research, I have got a patent (P201631029), 2 papers (one as a first author), 2 oral presentation (one as a first Author) and 3 posters (one as a first author) in international congress.
My teaching activities at the Department of Material Science and Physical Chemistry at the UB started during my PhD studies, and after it when I get a place as part-time assistant-lecturer in an open and competitive selection process in 2016 and 2017, lecturing in undergraduate courses of the bachelor’s degrees: Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and master’s courses of Estudis Avançats en Arqueologia.
I am a young researcher, with a lot of dynamism and initiative. I have participated in several national and international competitive projects, as well as a collaborator within a lot of projects with companies. I have 29 conference contributions both on research and teaching innovation in national and international congress, 18 in the last 5 years and 8 articles, one of them about scientific dissemination. I am currently involved in the new line of research of our group DIOPMA about Additive Manufacturing (AM) of ceramics and metals in digital light processing (DLP) and direct ink writing (DIW). My scientific investigation is focused mainly in DIW. As a result, I have 10 conference contributions in national and international congress in the last 5 years related about AM and 5 of them about DIW. My last conference contribution it is my first scientific dissemination of the results obtained about my new line of investigation inside DIW, the use of preceramics for obtain inks for DIW.
In 2016 I initiated the creation of an outreach workshop about materials and technologies that are being developed in the different groups of our Section of Materials Science and Engineering that did not exist until that moment. Now I am the chief of scientific dissemination in our section and under my direction we participated every year with our outreach workshop in more than 10 outreach events both locally (Festival de la Ciencia de Barcelona, Festa de la Ciència de la UB), nationally (10alamenos9) and internationally (Research Night, YOMO). I personally participated in other outreach events (Pint of Science, Desgranando Ciencia, BCNSpiracy, The presentation of AECC). Since the end of 2018 I am the responsible about our Twitter account of our section (@MaterialsUB)
