Researcher in Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Materials, Polymers characterization.
In 2009 I obtained the Chemistry Bachelor, in 2011 a Master in Advanced Chemistry, and I finished my PhD in Energy Engineergin from the University of Lleida in 2013. I did my PhD thesis focusing in the “Development and characterization of new materials incorporating phase change materials (PCM) for thermal energy storage (TES) applications in buildings” under the supervision of doctors Luisa F. Cabeza (UdL) and Ana I. Fernández (UB). I currently have an associate professor at the Department of Materials Science and Physical Chemistry of the University of Barcelona
My research topics have focused mainly on the characterization and development of different materials for thermal energy storage: phase change materials, solid materials for high temperature, nanofluids, etc.
I have actively participated in 31 competitive projects and in 9 of them I am a principal researcher, 5 teaching innovation projects and 13 projects in collaboration with companies, as well as in different contracts with private companies in the energy sector. I am currently the principal investigator of 4 projects, one of them subsidized by the European Union within the H2020 framework.
I am the co-author of 115 international scientific publications, 2 patents, 12 book chapters, 10 invited talks at international congresses and more than 110 contributions to congresses. I have been cited 3822 times (source: WOS), 3923 times (source: SCOPUS) in May 2021.
During the last 5 years (2015-2020) and in the last year (2020) I have received an average of 2951 citations and a number of citations, according to different sources: SCOPUS: 590 citations / year and 837 citations in 2021. My h-index is h = 32 (source: SCOPUS) in May 2021.
During the last 5 years I have supervised 2 completed PhD theses and I currently co-supervise 4 more, two of them are Industrial PhDs.
